Family Pumpkin Patch Outing

On a beautiful fall sunny morning in the mountains of North Carolina we loaded up the kids and headed to the Harvest Farm for pumpkins. Nana planned our trip to the pumpkin patch so her four grand-pumpkins could take home their very own fall essential.

The kids jumped from the car and the adults scattered to manage the children’s many uses of the pumpkins as chair, ladder, ball, snack, weapon.... We played pumpkin checkers and explored the many shapes and sizes of pumpkins and gourds. Like any good parent we bribed the kids to smile in front of the wide array of colors and foliage. Next up we rode the hay ride through the creek and around the fields of corn and pumpkins. The kids took in every moment.
The Harvest Farm in Valle Crucis, North Carolina is picture perfect. Large corn maze, hay rides, scavenger hunt, pumpkin checkers, off-the-vine pumpkins and pre-sorted pumpkins. We highly recommend for your next trip up the mountain.
