Disney Magic at the Smithsonian

You're truly an icon when you are added to the National Museum of American History collection. This weekend we visited the museum and were thrilled to see the iconic "Mickey Mouse Ears Hat" on display.

Nestled between the Igloo cooler, Etch a Sketch, and Pizza Hut model was our truly beloved classic. The kids were thrilled to see this in the collection and regretted not bringing their own.

You would actually be surprised to see how many Disney related items are in the collection. With a quick search via the search bar on the website linked above you will find items related to Disney's work during World War II, Jim Henson's many puppets, and even a Dumbo car that was donated to the museum on the occasion of Disneyland's 50th Anniversary in 2005.

Next time you are in Washington, DC be sure to be on the lookout for a little bit of Disney magic!
