Cafe Orleans in Disneyland

Updated: Aug 29, 2019

We had many friends recommend so many tasty treats to us before our most recent trip to Disneyland and we plan to share some of those with you! First stop, Cafe Orleans in New Orleans Square at Disneyland.

Everyone talks about the Pommes Frites. Over and over we hear this recommendation and now we know why. These traditional fries are tossed in parmesan, garlic, and parsley. Kicker is the Cajun Spice Remoulade that is served with it. We are always here for the dip, YUM!

Cafe Orleans offers beautiful outdoor seating with views of the Mark Twain Riverboat and the Rivers of America. We were able to enjoy the view and Disney magic from our table. The restaurant opened in 1966 when New Orleans Square opened.

We ordered the classic Mint Julep and enjoyed it. Frankly, we would probably order a different beverage next time but enjoyed getting into the spirit of Cafe Orleans! For dinner we had the Monte Cristo Sandwich. This is sliced turkey, ham, and swiss fried and dusted with powdered sugar and served with Berry Puree. Wow, talk about an experience! We enjoyed the sandwich and felt like it contributed to a truly unique dining experience. We would highly recommend this sandwich and the fries. This was most certainly enough food for both of us.

As always, let us know if we can help you plan your next vacation! Dining at Disney can feel overwhelming but there are so many amazing treats to try in Disney Parks. We can help you make the most of your next trip!
